A good performance in Euro 2012 could make all the difference to a career.

It provides a worldwide scouting audience to boast your talents to in the hope that a big club with bags of money will come knocking on your door...or perhaps just call your agent.

With Euro 2012 down to the final eight teams, here are the latest Euro 2012 stars to be linked with AC Milan.

Pepe Reina

Whilst unlikely to feature in Euro 2012, Liverpool's Pepe Reina is still a star.

Known for his antics off the pitch as much as his ability on it, Reina has been linked with AC Milan in a summer transfer, according to the MailOnline.

Current AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati is now 34 years old, so Milan are smart to start seek a long-term replacement now.

Pepe Reina is currently on Euro 2012 duty with Spain.

Mario Balotelli

Mario Balotelli was once scolded by fans when he wore an AC Milan shirt during an interview—he was playing for Inter Milan at the time.

Now it seems that Balotelli could end up wearing the colours of AC Milan for real after stories surfaced of supposed interest.

The MailOnline has cooled the rumours with their latest article, but do report:

The Serie A giants have made no secret of their desire to sign the Manchester City striker.

Cristiano Ronaldo

According to Italian newspaper the Corriere Dello Sport, AC Milan may look to make an offer of €200 million for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo—all subject to 25 percent of the club being purchased by the Emir of Dubai, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.

Whilst Ronaldo is unlikely to want to make the move, the potential offer is very much real.

Miguel Veloso

Once we get back down to earth following the Cristiano Ronaldo story, it seems that AC Milan have been eyeing up another of Portugal's Euro 2012 stars.

Miguel Veloso has apparently attracted attention from Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan during his nation's successful charge to the quarterfinals.

Veloso's agent—Paulo Barbosa—seems to confirm the Milan interest, according to the MailOnline.

There is no figure mentioned for the player.

Kaka

I'm stretching the list here with the inclusion of Kaka, but a Euro 2012 star is still involved.

The deal in question would see Sweden and AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic head to Real Madrid, with Kaka returning to his former stomping ground at the San Siro.

There is no fee mooted in the swap deal, but both parties may welcome the trade given their respective squad shortcomings.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic starred for Sweden in Euro 2012, but did not progress out of Group D.
