WWE No Way Out Preview and Predictions

'Rowdy' Ross RutherfordSenior Analyst IFebruary 11, 2009

No Way Out is this Sunday and as we make our way to Wrestlemania 25 some interesting developments have occurred, including the return of Christian.

This Pay Per View is way too over loaded with gimmick matches. This show seems to have a nice line up though. Shane McMahon will be battling Randy Orton after Orton punted his father's head. HBK takes on his "boss" JBL and if he wins he no longer has to work for JBL, but if he loses he will be Bradshaw's employee for the rest of his career.

Plus, No Way Out will feature two "Elimination Chamber" matches for the world titles.

Now on to the predictions:

Shawn Michaels vs. JBL in a "All or Nothing Match"

This should be the climax to this feud. It has been a very strange angle and good in some parts, but I just don't like it anymore. At the beginning I thought it was new and fresh, but now it just seems boring.

Nonetheless, this should be a good match. I'm not sure who will win. Since HBK has had a rough couple of weeks logic tells me that he will win.

Winner: Shawn Michaels

Shane McMahon vs. Randy Orton in a "No Holds Bared Match"

This is the match that I want to see. It's been a long time since I have been this interested in anything that Orton or The McMahons have been involved in. This match may be hit or miss depending on the performance of Shane and what condition he is in, but I expect a fight and I see this story going through Wrestlemania 25.

Orton has been very good here lately and I don't see him losing at No Way Out.

Winner: Randy Orton

Jack Swagger vs. Finlay for the ECW Championship

There is "no way" Finlay is winning at No Way Out. Not after what happened this past Tuesday. With Christian's return Jack Swagger got a free pass at NWO. I'm sure it will be an interesting match, but there is no way that Jack Swagger won't be facing Christian for the title.

Winner: Jack Swagger

Mike Knox vs. Kane vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Jericho vs. John Cena (Elimination Chamber Match)

I'm not sure how to call this one. There is no chance that Mysterio, Kane, Kofi, or Mike Knox are walking out of the Elimination Chamber with the title and it appears as if Jericho has something going on with Ric Flair.

No surprise here John Cena will walk into Wrestlemania as World Heavyweight Champion.

Winner: John Cena

Jeff Hardy vs. Edge vs. The Undertaker vs. Triple H vs. Big Show vs. Vladimir Kozlov (Elimination Chamber Match)

Something in my gut tells me that Edge will not be leaving No Way Out with the WWE Championship. He has the five brightest stars form Smackdown to deal with and I could see anyone of them as champion with the exception of Kozlov and Show who will both probably get eliminated early on.

I look for it to come down to Taker, Triple H, and Edge. With some type of major twist involving Taker and then we finish off with Edge and Triple H. Something tells me that Edge will not be walking into Wrestlemania 25 as WWE Champion (Unless he battles Christian).

Winner: Triple H
