No Way Out Set to Reveal Wrestlemania

After receiving an email from Rory asking me to do an article on the World Heavyweight Title match at No Way Out, I decided it was time to write my first article in a couple of weeks.

I will cover the above match, but I will also cover the rest of the show. Reason being is that the World Heavyweight title match has got to be the most pathetic of the whole card.

It actually angers me when I look at this match!

Kofi Kingston, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, Mike Knox, and Kane are the five challenging the "untouchable" John Cena for his title? You have got to be joking.

Don't get me wrong, you got a couple of credible guys in there, but who actually thinks that:

A. John Cena will lose the belt

B. One of those challengers is going to head into Wrestlemania with the company's top prize.

It is almost laughable; let me break it down a little before I get off this subject and look at each challenger's chances..

Kofi Kingston: Is someone joking? I would be more convinced if Hornswoggle was in the match.

Chris Jericho: Hasn't he held the belt two or three times recently? He has the only chance of any of the challengers, but there's no new title reign coming soon, plus he is too involved in the Ric Flair-Mickey Rourke saga.

Rey Mysterio: Could it be him and Cena left as the final two? That would be interesting, but once again, he has mounted no serious challenge recently to be considered a threat.

Mike Knox: "Mike Knox is the newwww World Heavyweight Champion." Someone, please stop, please, you're killing me already!

Kane: WWE will finally use Kane to his potential? Finally, he will wear the title and be taken seriously instead of a Uppercard Jobber? Of course not, not with these WWE writers anyway.

Ok, I'm done. As you can tell, I'm quite annoyed with the lineup of that match. I think it proves how they need to kill the roster split and merge them again.

Let me move onto the other chamber match with Undertaker, Triple H, Big Show, Vladimir Kozlov, and Jeff Hardy—all challenging Edge.

Now, this is how a chamber match should be. You have the champ Edge, the previous champion Jeff Hardy looking to regain the gold, Triple H looking for his yearly Mania main event match, and the giant of the match—the Big Show, the undefeated Kozlov, and of course, need I say anything about The Undertaker?

All of these competitors are GENUINE contenders and could all walk out with the title— maybe with the exception of Big Show and Kozlov. But I expect those two to start a feud off of this match.

Hopefully, this match ends the show. I expect Edge will win this but don't count out Triple H.

I'd love to see Hardy win it back and defend against his brother at Wrestlemania. That would add even more spice to that near-certain Mania match.

I'll be brief with the rest of the card and just offer my predictions/hopes.

Next match:

ECW Champion Jack Swagger vs. Finlay:

Swagger will retain here and it's highly probable that he will defend against Christian at Mania or we could even see a Swagger vs. Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer Triple Threat...

I was expecting Dreamer to win the belt at Wrestlemania, but now with Christian in the picture, that may change plans.

Shawn Michaels vs. JBL (All or Nothing Match):

Please, please, please let this be the end of this feud! Either way this goes, I still expect/hope to see HBK vs. Taker at Mania.

If HBK wins, he can be free and possibly make the challenge to Undertaker. Perhaps, he could come to the ring on Raw and say that he owes the fans Mr. Wrestlemania after all the recent months, and he owes them a blockbuster match, therefore challenging the Deadman.

Or if JBL wins, he can "make" HBK face 'Taker, saying that the match will make him a shed load of cash off of the HBK name.

Randy Orton vs. Shane McMahon (No Holds Barred Match):

Surely, Legacy will get involved at some point surely. Stephanie McMahon turning on Shane would be cool and has been teased in the past. I expect something big to happen here, maybe even a Vince return. It may go to a No Contest.

So, that's it for the article, this time next week, Wrestlemania will have shaped up and perhaps, even half the card will be known.

Take care,
Mike
