The magic and aura of the Chicago Bulls that dominated the '90s was in full effect recently. Only, it was at a wedding reception in Estes Park, Colorado.
It should make some men want to go back and get remarried. That feeling should be doubly so if you count yourself among the legions of followers who are loyal to Michael Jordan's Bulls.
One key aspect was the voice that brought the team onto the court. It belongs to Ray Clay, and he was back in action for a wedding reception to end all wedding receptions.
The Jaquette and Perkins wedding received quite the boost thanks to Clay reprising his role as superhuman name announcer.
Of course, the full retro Bulls theme wouldn't be complete without Alan Parsons Project's Sirius and Gary Glitter's Rock and Roll Part 2. Both songs played a heavy role in how I got amped as a young man.
The only thing missing was pull-away uniforms and a goofy Will Perdue way in the distance. This crew thought of it all, even down to the groom and a groomsman going in for a major league leap to end it all.
How could you not be just stoked to crush some brews at the open bar and eat a ton of scalloped potatoes and a meat or vegetarian dish after this?
If a random uncle is going to make things awkward later in the night, you might as well start it all off with a professional touch.
I sincerely hope the bouquet toss featured a speed gun and the first dance culminated in a personal foul for excessive celebration.
I heart sports-themed weddings.
