NBA Fantasy Pickups: Week 16

Guards

 

Anthony Johnson (Magic)

G Jameer Nelson is expected to be out for the remaining of the regular season with a torn right labrum in his shoulder. Johnson scored a season-high 25 points last Wednesday vs. the Clippers. Yesterday against the Nets, he pulled down eight rebounds and had four assists.

 

Antonio Daniels (Hornets)

G Chris Paul has missed his last three games with a strained right groin. In his absence, Daniels is averaging 10 points, 6.5 assists and a steal over his last two games.

 

Honorable mention: Jose Juan Barea (Mavs)

 

Forwards

 

Hakim Warrick (Grizzles)

Warrick started his first game of the season last Saturday and scored 16 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and had a steal in 38 minutes.

G/F Rudy Gay missed the game against the Raptors with a left hip flexor.

 

Kyle Korver (Jazz)

Korver has averaged 13 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals over his past three games. He has played at least 30 minutes in his past four games and has knocked down nine three-pointers in that span.

 

Honorable mention: Joey Graham (Raptors)

 

Centers

 

Kurt Thomas (Spurs)

Thomas pulled down a season-high 15 rebounds last Monday. In his last three games, he is shooting 51 percent from the field and is averaging a steal per game.

 

Joel Anthony (Heat)

Anthony played 33 minutes yesterday and blocked two shots. Last Monday, he played 30 minutes, pulled down seven rebounds, and had four blocks.

 

Honorable mention: Mikki Moore (Kings)
