The storylines in wrestling have always been known to push the envelope, whether it be due to sexual innuendos or the portrayal of violence.

But a couple of recent segments may have gone too far in some people's minds.

The segments in question involved Hornswoggle and Vince McMahon doing impressions of Jim Ross. While the idea of an impression of Ross in itself is not offensive, it is how it was done that can be viewed as offensive.

Hornswoggle and McMahon both did their impressions while holding one side of their mouth shut, imitating the look and sound Jim Ross has due to his Bell's Palsy.

Jim Ross had this to say on his official blog, which can be read in full at JRsBarBQ.com.

'Jim Ross' Trending on Twitter during Raw was a surprise. The Hornswoggle/Mr. McMahon skit impersonating yours truly must have struck a nerve with some folks. The Boss and 'Swoggle made for a comedic pair. Sell 'da Sauce!

While it may appear that Jim Ross is not taking this personally, it may have put a bad taste in the mouths of some viewers.

WWE is currently promoting a campaign against bullying, called be a STAR. What we saw from Hornswoggle and McMahon could fall under the definition of bullying.

Obviously, there is no storyline that will come of this, as it is just a couple of people who made bad calls in pushing the segments forward.

But it might have a negative effect because of Jim Ross' immense popularity with wrestling fans.

Will this affect ratings?

Probably not, but it may be a topic of discussion for a few weeks. It could even be used by Linda McMahon's opponents to further push their anti-WWE agenda against her.

Do you think making light of JR's condition crossed the line of decency?

Or should we expect this kind of stuff from WWE?
