NASCAR Boys Meet SI Cover Girls

While these three NASCAR drivers—Clint Bowyer, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., and Martin Truex, Jr.—have yet to score a victory on the race track in 2009, they surely must feel like they have died and gone to heaven with this cover shoot debuting in this morning's USA Weekend edition.

With thoughts of fantasies come true, our three intrepid drivers must have had the thrill of a lifetime posing with Sports Illustrated's two swimsuit models, Brooklyn Decker and Julie Henderson.

The first beautiful model, Brooklyn, knows sports as she is engaged to tennis star Andy Roddick. She also grew up in Charlotte, the heart and home of NASCAR racing.

The other swimsuit beauty Julie Henderson has modeled extensively. This is her third appearance in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. confesses to USA Weekend that "the swimsuit issue was an irreplaceable part of his formative years."  Thanks for sharing Junior and let's just leave it at that.

Dale Jr. also admits that his favorite SI swimsuit model was Tyra Banks. But he most certainly admits that many beautiful women have had their careers launched with the spread.

Indeed, another NASCAR driver's wife has demonstrated that fact. Ingrid Vandebosch, lovely spouse of NASCAR champion Jeff Gordon, also recently appeared in her white bikini on the SI swimsuit edition spread.

New Jersey's own Martin Truex, Jr. and blue-eyed bombshell Clint Bowyer were also featured in the spread, "Daytona 500 Stars Meet SI Swimsuit Models." There were no comments from either of those two drivers.

No doubt they were unable to do so with their tongues hanging out of their heads.

The USA Weekend promotion is all part of their "Fabulous February" campaign.  The Daytona 500, NASCAR's Super Bowl, kicks off this weekend on February 15th and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition will hit newsstands on Tuesday.

With the exception of being in Victory Lane collecting the checkered flag, we've never seen grins bigger than these on our favorite drivers.  And it certainly must have inspired Martin Truex, Jr. as he qualified for the pole position of this year's greatest reace.
