WWE News: Major Push Coming to Smackdown Superstar Straight from Vince McMahon
Following the recent suspension of Randy Orton for his second wellness policy violation late last week, the WWE needs someone to fill the shoes of the Viper as Smackdown lost a big name on Friday nights and at live events.
With Smackdown being carried by the likes of Sheamus, Cody Rhodes and Christian among others every week, the rarely seen Vince McMahon is planning a major push for a superstar on the current Smackdown roster in the coming weeks.
Here are the details from SuperLuchas.net (via WrestlingInc.com) on what current Smackdown superstar is going to receive the next big push in the company after the aforementioned suspension of Orton:
WWE has big plans in store for Ryback, who has continuously steamrolled enhancement talent since debuting on SmackDown in April.
SuperLuchas.net reports Vince McMahon has notified creative to script Ryback as dominant as possible in future outings. The WWE Chairman is very high on the SmackDown Superstar as he feels he can be his company's version of Bill Goldberg.
Even though being very lukewarm to the exploits of the former member of the Nexus, it doesn’t matter how many squash matches the WWE schedule for Ryback as he will never reach the level of the former WCW Champion, Goldberg.
The previous point has been seen at Raw, Smackdown and other pay-per-view events during the last few weeks with fans continuously chanting “Goldberg, Goldberg, Goldberg” during his matches against one or more local jobbers.
The creative team for the WWE immediately needs to get Ryback out of these ridiculous squash matches and get him in there against more established superstars if this push is going to be successful for the young superstar.
With orders to the creative team coming straight from the Chairman of the Board, what’s your opinion on Ryback getting the next big push on Smackdown with so many other options to give a push to like Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes?
