"The Hitman" Martin Kampmann staked his claim as a true welterweight contender after scoring a huge comeback win over Jake Ellenberger at The Ultimate Fighter's season 15 finale Friday evening.

The Xtreme Couture product scored a nasty knockout after hitting three successive knees from the clinch, dropping "The Juggernaut" to the canvas. However, that is not to say Ellenberger didn't land plenty of solid shots of his own.

Kampmann was dripping blood immediately after the fight, and he tweeted how bad the damage was afterwards:

Obviously, that's a pretty nasty cut on his nose, and the one over his left eyebrow doesn't look much better.

The fight looked like it was going to be another quick knockout win for Ellenberger after he dropped Kampmann with a flurry just seconds into the fight.

However, Kampmann's grappling acumen allowed him to get to the second round. Although Ellenberger landed some more power punches, Kampmann refused to give up until he got his.

Kampmann now has won three straight, the past two being stoppages. While it has not been formally announced by the UFC, the versatile Danish brawler seems destined to take on Johny Hendricks in a welterweight title eliminator bout.
