Albert looks to lock up a rear-naked choke, but he is bucked off of the back of Perez, who takes the top position. Albert attacks with a triangle choke attempt. However, after eating some heavy right hands while trying to lock up the submission, Albert switches to an armbar.

The UFC newcomer counters wonderfully and secures an armbar of his own. Though it doesn't appear Albert verbally or physically taps, referee Kim Winslow steps in and stops the fight to the dismay of Albert and the crowd.
