Olympic Quidditch Jerseys Totally Exist and Are Not Nerdy at All

Nerds, dorks and people who believe Harry Potter is real, lend me your eyes. I am here to deliver grand news that you too can play Quidditch, and you can do it with some severe swag. 

BuzzFeed directs us to some sweet-looking jerseys brought to you by the good people over at the International Quidditch Association. 

I know some of you older folk are kicking yourself for not organizing better during hours of Dungeons and Dragons marathon sessions. You may have had some nifty-looking outfits. 

Some of you may be unaware that Quidditch is a very real made-up sport wherein fans of the Harry Potter series find the only reason they have ever had to get outside and mix it up with other human beings. 

Before I get called out for being like Stan Gable in Revenge of the Nerds, let me tell you that I am a self-proclaimed geek. 

I love me some Star Trek: The Next Generation and would love nothing more than to own this shirt. So I understand where you Potter fanatics are coming from. Designed by the IQA and manufactured by Quiyk, here are the national outfits—I mean jerseys—available for purchase.

I would be proud to put these on and stick a broom between my legs, whooping and hollering as the snitch goes wailing by. 

Let's not pretend that this isn't the most nerdy thing in the damn world, though. 

I know that debates I have had on Batman and his real-world applications, whether Han shot first or if Jean Luc-Picard is the final stage of human evolution are dorky conundrums. 

I have no problem with that. I enjoy these jerseys and think they carry with them a great deal of swag. If you are going to take over the wonderful world of make believe, you might as well look good doing it. 

These things are awesome. Dorky, but awesome.
