Terrell Owens: Allen Wranglers Embarrass Star with Eviction and $50 Buyout

Gabe ZaldivarJun 6, 2018

We knew things would end badly when Terrell Owens took up with an Indoor Football League team, the Allen Wranglers. We just didn't know it would be this bad.

TMZ reports on the final moments of a former NFL star going through a humbling time right now.

Owens was fired form his post as co-owner and player of the Allen Wranglers recently. That's the kind of dire times we are talking about with TO.

It just got worse, though.

The report states the team actually kicked Owens out of the house they provided him, asked for the keys to a team-provided car and then bought him out of his share of ownership...for $50.

"

Sources close to T.O. tell TMZ the Allen Wranglers notified their star player, in writing, he had 48 hours to get out of the house they provided him -- and to hand over the keys to the 2012 Jeep Cherokee they gave him to tool around the Texas town.

But the biggest diss of all -- the $50 check the Wranglers wrote T.O. to repurchase his hefty share of the team's ownership! The financial screwing is most likely tied to the team's belief that T.O. breached his contract by missing a charity event and sitting out 2 away games.

"

According to the report, Owens owned 50% of the team. I still wonder if 50 bucks is that far off for an Indoor Football Team.

This must be one step above owning a wiffle ball bat and calling yourself an outdoor fun team, but I digress.

For Owens, he contends that his contract allowed for missing away games. He also argues that the team publicist gave him the wrong date to this missed charity event.

He is not about to take this lying down as he and his lawyers are looking into a possible suit for breach of contract, via TMZ

Having not seen his contract, we can only speculate as to whether the former great wide receiver has a case.

What we can ascertain with our own eyes is that Owens is not having a great deal of success right now. In fact, I would go so far as to call the last few months for him craptacular.

I am sure that he will attempt another football comeback. Anyone know what's lower than the IFL though?
