Pacquiao vs Bradley: How Desert Storm's Fighting Style Will Fare Against Pac-Man
Timothy Bradley has the chops to defeat Manny Pacquiao when the two of them duke it out for theย WBO welterweight titleย on June 9, 2012 at theย MGM Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas.
Pac-Man has the edge when it comes to experience, power and prestige, but the man they call Desert Storm has the fighting style and strategy to overcome those obstacles on his way to victory No. 29.
If you don't believe me, perhaps you'll listen to one of Bradley's fallen foes. Lamont Peterson recently talked to Ring TV, via boxingnews24.com:
"I think Timothy wins that fight if he can take Pacquiaoโs punch, because Pacquiao does have one-punch power. If he can take Pacquiaoโs punch all night, then Timothy wins the fight. Thatโs my prediction on that fight.
"
According to Yahoo! Sports, Paquiao is also aware of the fact that Bradley brings the goods:
"Timothy Bradley brings a lot of weapons to a fight. He has youth, an aggressive style and a state of mind that only a world champion possesses...Bradley seems to be improving with every fight...He knows how to impose his will on his opponents. He turns fights into wars.
"
Pacquiao is also concerned about the fact that there may be some headbutts throughout the night due to the fact that Bradley is a southpaw.ย He should be more concerned about the way Bradley can get inside of him and work his bodyโone of his greatest strengths.ย
Bradley is also an excellent counter-puncher. He loves to sit back and let his opponent make the first move, and once they do he's adept at avoiding their efforts while landing bombs in response.ย
One thing you know about Bradley is that he isn't afraid to go toe-to-toe and throw down with the best boxers in the world. The way he dispatched the hard-charging and heavy-handedย Luis Abregu was like watching a clinic about how to out-quick and out-punch your opponent.
He gave up significant size in that match, but that didn't stop him from trading blows and giving better than he got in that thrilling fight.
Pac-Man is going down. I don't see him having enough stamina to outlast the newly vegan Bradley, who has made a complete transformation in his eating habits, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Bradley is too quick, too hungry and too skilled. He has the game to defeat Pac-Man, and come June 9, 2012 he will prove it.
