Welcome to BR5, your source for daily sports and pop culture news.

Charlie Sheen is known for making headlines with his crazy antics, unsuccessful comedy tours and getting fired from CBS Two and a Half Men, and the list continues. But this time Sheen is making headlines because could be owning a very valuable piece of jewelry that professional football players vie for each year...That's right, a Super Bowl ring!

Now, you may be wondering to yourself, "How did he get his hands on such a valuable item?" Well, former linebacker Lawrence Taylor's Super Bowl XXV ring was put up for auction by his son and the ring was sold for $230,401 to Charlie Sheen. Sheen is known for purchasing weird items.

In the past, he brought some weird items such as Babe Ruth's 1927 World Series ring and the contract of Ruth's sale from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees. To top it off, Sheen also once purchased all the bleacher seats to an Angels game to try and catch a Cecil Fielder home run ball. But unfortunately, he was unsuccessful at his attempt.

So it won't be that shocking if Charlie Sheen did in fact purchase the ring, and if he did, I'm sure we would all like to know what he decides to do with the ring.
