Some guys just have a hard time "getting it."

Dezmon Jerrod Briscoe appears to be one of them.

With all due respect to Basketball Wives (and that would be no respect), Dezmon, aka Dez, needs to drop whatever he's doing and start giving some serious consideration to the state of his football career with the hard-at-work Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Maybe good ole Dez hasn't noticed, but Kellen Winslow Jr. was shown the door this week, and Preston Parker, a guy who really wants to be a receiver for the Bucs, got himself a nice pay raise for 2013 and some walking-around money for the summer to the tune of $50,000.

Maybe Dynamic Dez hasn't noticed that Vincent Jackson is sweating out there at One Buc Place, and last time we checked, Jackson's about 1,000 times better than Briscoe, even in the Dez Dream World.

You would think that Dez would want to be in here learning what is an entirely new offense. That's what common sense might dictate. New boss, new position coach, new playbook, yeah, Dez, did you ever consider that you might be falling a bit behind in the learning curve?

What this all leads up to is the simple question: Will Dez Briscoe become the next former Buccaneer?

He's not doing much to be a current Buccaneer, whereas the rest of the receiving corps is up and at 'em.

Did we mention Preston Parker's contract extension?

That's one more guy ahead of Briscoe when the depth chart is put together in August.

With the addition of the veteran Jackson, there is one less spot for journeyman receivers.

Not sure what Dez is up to these days, but he's certainly not out there sweating.

The temperature will push 90 degrees out there today and somewhere, Dez Briscoe is standing on thin ice.
