Following the first appearance of the cryptic message, the WWE's viral marketing campaign, A Revolution is Coming, has been speculated by the fans on whom or what the company is advertising to be coming in the very near future.

The aforementioned speculation has mentioned everything from Batista coming back to outlandish things like the Attitude Era making its return to push out the current PG era of the company.

Here are the details from PWInsider via WrestlingInc.com on what the true subject of the viral marketing campaign is:

PWInsider.com reports that WWE's new viral marketing "Revolution" campaign on their website will reveal a new WWE video game next week, before the E3 video game convention.

Instead of doing something new and unique to debut a possible new superstar or major storyline arc, the WWE did what they do best and let a great opportunity pass by making the Revolution promos about a video game.

The WWE should have used this big campaign to begin a change in the current product toward a more edgy style, in order to help stabilize their fluctuating ratings on Monday and Friday nights.

While not exactly bringing back the style of action from the Attitude era, it would be good for the WWE to have a more edgy product so it can satisfy the current generation of fans, along with older fans that loved the company in the 1990s.
