Rosa Mendes, current WWE Diva and manager for the former WWE Tag Team Champions Primo and Epico, was in a car accident in her hometown of Las Vegas, Nevada early Friday evening.
Here are the details from Mendes’ accident and her current condition via an article from WWE.com.
Released from the hospital late Friday night, Rosa suffered serious whiplash but no other major injuries were reported.
An accident involving at least five cars occurred at approximately 6:45 p.m. after a Mercedes in a turning lane reportedly switched lanes, causing a truck to jackknife and a series of successive collisions.
Unfortunately, this isn't the only recent car accident involving a WWE Superstar. Former champion John Cena was in a car accident earlier this year in Philadelphia just weeks before his Once in a Lifetime showdown with the Rock at WrestleMania 28 in Miami (via WWE.com).
Current United States Champion Santino Marella suffered a separated left shoulder as his Land Rover was flipped after being hit by another vehicle last September.
With three accidents in the past year, here’s hoping that the three aforementioned superstars—along with the rest of the roster—will drive a little more safely out there on the road in the future.
