Goodbye, Farewell, I Bid Adieu to You...

Sometimes, you just have to take stock of your situation and do something you know is for the best, but it still leaves you with a hollow heart. You have to do something that is in your best interests, but you will miss it all the same.

You have to leave some really good friends, those who have touched your heart with their open arms and tremendous support.

You all will be missed by me. I could go on and on and name all of you all, but I'll probably screw it up and miss somebody's name, and all hell will break loose if I did. So I will pass on the names, but you all know who you are.

Bleacher Report has been a rare experience for me—never have I had so much fun writing here. I met some great people, got some great advice, and more than anything else, inspired a few writers who have a dream they are chasing.

To them I say this: don't ever give up. You can do it, and Bleacher Report is the perfect place for you to get that recognition. Take advantage of all the resources they have, and keep self-promoting. Don't be remiss in posting your accomplishments on your bulletin board—major websites check it out if they like your articles.

If you ever need a friend to vent on, or need some advice—and remember, advice is worth what you paid for it (and in this case it's free)—please don't be a stranger. My email addy is on my bulletin board.

Thanks for being a surrogate family. Thanks Zander, for everything. If you ever need someone to go to Media Day or what have you, you can know how to get a hold of me—I'm there.

May the Editor Gods shine their light on all of you. May all your dreams come true. May you be the next Bill Simmons, the next Rick Reilly, the next Bill Plaschke, but remember to be yourself.
