WBC President Warns Manny Pacquiao About Potential Loss Due to Distractions

According to Miguel Rivera of The Boxing Scene, the president of the WBC, Jose Sulaiman sent Manny Pacquiao a warning message letting Pacman know just how tough a fight he has in front of him with Timothy Bradley, especially with all the distractions surrounding the eight-division champ as of late.

Sulaiman's message said:

If you don't prepare you are going to lose. Bradley is a great fighter, and has incredible hand speed. Bradley has never lost and i do not see an easy fight for Pacquiao.

"

Sulaiman's message should not be taken lightly by Pacquiao, as Bradley comes into the Pacquiao bout hungry and ready to prove he belongs among boxing's elite.

The distractions that are plaguing Pacquiao are, of course, his political career over in the Philippines, the backlash Pacman is facing after saying he does not support gay marriage, rumored tax troubles in the Philippines and the ongoing rumors about him and his wife Jinkee's marriage being on the rocks.

Sure Sulaiman is correct about Pacquiao needing to focused on the Bradley fight, as a loss is a real possibility if he is not 100 percent into the bout and the training leading up to the June 9 event, but his views are unwarranted and really don't pertain to the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, as his organization has no part in the bout.

Needed or not, Pacquiao would be wise to listen to Sulaiman's advice, even if he had no business putting his two cents in on the fight, as Pacman could see the distractions that have bothered him over the last year or so, finally become too much and give Pacquiao his first loss in over seven years.
