The snow may have restricted many people from traveling but it could not stop Robbie Keane getting to London today for his medical with former club, Tottenham.

His paperwork was registered with Premier League authorities with just 15 minutes of the transfer window left and Keane will rejoin Spurs just six months after his £20 million transfer to Liverpool in the summer.

Despite a handful of great performances during his short spell on Merseyside, many considered his time at Liverpool a failure with just seven goals and four assists in 1783 minutes.

But it would appear the pressure of such a huge transfer fee and the fact he was now wearing the colours of his boyhood club were a little to much to handle and it took a little longer to settle than many impatient supporters would have liked.

Robbie Keane becomes the third Tottenham player to rejoin the club in the January transfer window.

Jermaine Defoe, Pascal Chimbonda and now Robbie Keane all left White Hart Lane in the Summer when Spaniard, Juande Ramos—who was sacked on the 25th October after just two points from his first eight games—felt that the three were surplus to requirements.

Since Harry Redknapp's appointment as Tottenham manager, he has managed to bring all three players back to the club, despite having to pay £15 million for Defoe from Portsmouth—the club Redknapp left in October to join Spurs—after he moved to Fratton Park for £9 million in the summer.

Tottenham supporters are excited at the return of the Irish Striker who had spent six seasons with them and scored double figures in every campaign—the only Tottenham player to have achieved this.

Many Liverpool fans are disappointed with the news as they feel that Keane was not given long enough to settle at the club and prove the quality that he is well know for.

With the Robbie Keane transfer being left until the very last minute, Liverpool have been left with no time to find a suitable replacement and will now be forced to play out the rest of their title challenge with a big hole in their attacking line-up.

Liverpool Chief-Executive, Rick Parry, has been accused in the past of the slow handling of transfers and player contract negotiations as well as missing out on buying players such as Nemandja Vidic and Cristiano Ronaldo.

But this latest blunder could have a serious affect on The Reds best chance of a league title in a great many years.

This leaves Rafa Benitez with Fernando Torres, Dirk Kuyt, and David N'Gog as their recognised strikers—with only Torres being considered by many to be Liverpool's main goal threat.

This could be a golden opportunity for Ryan Babel to get more games in his preferred striking position and it could be the perfect chance to bring through some of the talented reserve players such as Daniel Pacheco and Nikola Saric.

However, with the Premier League coming in to it's crucial stages and Liverpool in their best ever position to fight for their first title in 19 years, is this really the time to be selling players such as Robbie Keane with no suitable replacement or relying on untried reserve players?

Only time will tell if the Liverpool Chief Executive has once again made a fatal error and this can possibly suggest why Rafa Benitez is so adamant that the manager should have control of the transfers in and out of Liverpool..
