The New York Rangers pulled off an incredible comeback by scoring a game-tying-power play goal with six seconds remaining in regulation and then another power play goal during the first overtime period.

The Washington Capitals were stunned after being mere seconds away from taking a 3-2 series lead back home, but the Rangers will now seek to eliminate the Capitals on Wednesday night.

This overtime game featured tons of action and excitement and a top moment includes the Rangers gaining new life when "Mr. Playoffs" Brad Richards scored from close range with a well-placed shot.

The Rangers' power play carried over into the first overtime period, and Marc Staal scored the game winner with seconds remaining on the man advantage.

Pierre McGuire was quoted during the telecast saying that Joel Ward's double minor may not have mattered, but he couldn't have been more wrong.

The Rangers appeared down and out after the Capitals scored a power play goal early on in the third period, but the Rangers kept plugging away and finally got to Braden Holtby and the Capitals defense.

Players of the Game:

New York

Henrik Lundqvist: A

Lundqvist made tons of odd-man rush saves to keep the score 2-1 in the third period and he is a huge reason why the Rangers held on. Henrik has been a rock for the Rangers and a huge difference.

Brad Richards: A+

The Richards line was buzzing all night and he was generating tons of offense and he is the reason why the Rangers made it to overtime.

Braden Holtby: B-

Holtby had another good game but he was bested tonight. In the first period he gave up a bad goal to Anton Stralman and in attempting to cover the puck in the third, he opened up a space for Brad Richards.

Brooks Laich: A-

Laich was physical and chasing down pucks all night. He scored the Capitals first goal and was one of the Capitals' best forwards all night long.

Next Game:

Game 6 will take place Wednesday at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC.
