WWE Extreme Rules 2012: Randy Orton Must Beat Kane to End Feud
If WrestleMania 28 wasn’t disappointing enough, now we can relive the mediocre match between Randy Orton and Kane again at the 2012 Extreme Rules Pay-Per-View.
There was a time in wrestling when WrestleMania was the culmination of storylines, but that has gone out the window when it comes to another match between Randy Orton and Kane. The only hope now is that this is officially the end for this feud.
As much as I personally just want this feud to end because it’s absolutely boring, it must finish so that the WWE’s plans moving forward can come to fruition. Those plans would include a possible feud with Brock Lesnar for Randall Keith Orton.

From F4Wonline.com (subscription users only):
"The plan as of today, and this could change, is to build towards Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton at SummerSlam, which would be a big match and probably do a very good buyrate if promoted correctly.
"
While this feud doesn’t make sense right now, it has the potential to be something that gets the majority of fans to care. Both Lesnar and Orton are fan favorites with an aggressive demeanor that would turn this battle into one of the most brutal in recent WWE history.
Lesnar looks to be just another cog in the system as far as breaking down John Cena’s character, so his win at Extreme Rules should be obvious. Add in Randy Orton having nothing planned for his near future, and Lesnar is the perfect opponent going forward.
The WWE is desperate to get fans to care about the sport again, so putting Lesnar up against a face as popular as Orton is a win-win situation.
How it ends, though, is very much in question.
