John Cena and Brock Lesnar have had a very strong buildup to their match at Extreme Rules in a very short while.
The night after WrestleMania 28 where everyone wondered how Cena would react after his huge loss to the Rock, Lesnar came out and gave him the F-5 heard around the world.
Since then, Cena and Lesnar have been going back and forth with Lesnar having the upper hand each and every single time. The match between the two could have had a longer build-up, but for now, this should be a great match.
Let's take a look at the five best moments from this current feud so far.
"I am not a wrestler, I'm an a** kicker, I am Brock Lesnar, that's it."
In this exclusive interview that was first shown on the Monday Night Raw in London, Lesnar tells the world why he came back to the WWE and what type of impact he wants to make.
It was a very powerful interview that documented his career in sports entertainment and how much more successful he has been than others. Lesnar said that, if he were, while Cena was becoming the top guy, Cena would be holding Lesnar's bags for him.
Apparently, Lesnar does not care about what's going through Cena's mind, but he's interested in the piss that's running down Cena's leg in fear of Lesnar.
Cena is never scared of anyone, and Lesnar is no different, but this was one great interview.
Brock Lesnar sat in the ring with John Laurinaitis and waited for John Cena to enter the ring. Cena did not show up.
Lesnar then continued to talk to Johnny Ace about his Lesnar's demands. Lesnar wanted Vince McMahon's private jet, his name featured on the Monday Night Raw masthead and the ability to show up whenever and however he wants.
Laurinaitis agreed to Lesnar's ridiculous demands, and Lesnar signed the contract. Cena's music hit, and he came down the ring with a much different demeanor than usual.
Cena did not salute to the troops, he did not run fast and he did not yell anything at the camera before walking down.
Instead, Cena walked out with his old-school chain around his neck (which he later wrapped around his fist), he walked slowly and he did not even look or talk to the camera.
This contract signing was classic and not predictable, which is usually not the case with contract signings.
Here comes the pain. This time, the pain literally came to John Cena.
After losing to The Rock the night before at WrestleMania 28, everyone was speculating on how Cena will react. Once he came out to speak to the WWE Universe, he asked for The Rock to come out, however, he did not get The Rock, he got Lesnar.
The crowd was asking for Lesnar, while saying YES! YES!, and they got him. It took him a little while to walk down the ramp, but once he did, he shook Cena's hand and gave him the F-5 heard around the world.
This definitely started this feud off with a bang—and a pretty big bang at that.
This was not only the best moment of the feud between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, but it is definitely one of the top five moments of the year so far.
This was an old school segment which involved two heavyweights slug it out in a brawl. After Cena approached Lesnar and smacked him across the face, Lesnar took Cena down UFC-style. As Lensar started to punch away, he connected Cena in the mouth which left Cena bleeding for a while.
The locker room spilled out and tried to separate these two superstars. Cena and Lesnar broke free a couple of times, but in the end of it, the locker room controlled the both of them and escorted them both to their locker rooms.
Later on in the night, Cena bragged about how tough he is and how he would still fight with his busted lip. Apparently, that punch to Cena's face was real, and that's a big reason as to why this moment was incredible.
A true throwback moment with a company that has had very few of those lately. This was, by far, the best moment between the two in this feud so far, and if this is any indication about how the match will go, then this should be one incredible matchup.
