Does Arsenal Need To Look Beyond Arsene Wenger?

“Hell No! He is the man we need. He epitomizes Arsenal F.C.”

This is the response I would garner from most Arsenal fans and why not. After all it was Wenger who brought into Arsenal, "The Right Way of Playing Football".

It was he who guided the Gunners to the 2005-06 UEFA Champions League Final against Barcelona and it was this brilliant Frenchman who built the amazing team of "THE INVINCIBLES" who did not let any other premier league counterpart vanquish them in the glorious 2003-04 league season.

However, since the past couple of years, many problems have started haunting Arsenal.

The biggest one being the fact that the squad has tremendous potential to become a strong unit but lacks the experience and the fighting spirit of the previous teams that Wenger had formed.

Secondly dumping the captaincy on the experienced but I believe still very young shoulders of Spanish playmaker Francesc Fabregas does not make too much sense to me.

Don’t get me wrong mates! I just think that Wenger as of now, is just not able to bring in stability, consistency and calmness into this Arsenal team. "The William Gallas Outburst" being the biggest example of the confusion and chaos that surrounds this great football club.

Probably the fact of the matter is that in spite of having lost players like Theirry Henry, Alexander Hleb ,and Mathieu Flamini, Arsene Wenger is continuing to use his "Beautiful Football Formula’’ with inexperienced players who are not yet ready to crank it up a notch.

I believe that at least at the moment, Arsenal is going nowhere.

The club characterizes unhappy players, low fitness levels and yet another season which will be spent direly scrapping for a UEFA Champions League spot when in reality, there should be ambitions of being defending champions next season.

The reason I FEEL the above problems have surfaced for the North Londoners is because their manager, at the MOMENT, does not seem to be the one who can truly command respect from his players and use his managerial abilities to try and eek out results consistently; especially when scrapping for points in the games against weaker teams.

Teams like Manchester United and even Chelsea have done this very well over the last three seasons or so. I would not say Wenger is past his prime; but I do believe he needs a break. After all Arsenal have been trophy less for over three seasons now. That’s just not Arsenal, is it??

I am anxiously waiting for your comments and opinions.

Arsenal fans: my eyes are eagerly awaiting to see your thoughts posted on my monitor.

Cheers to all.
