WWE Monday Night Raw: Top 5 Superstars to Watch for

Justin WatryApr 23, 2012

Tonight is a three-hour Raw special. WWE likes to hype up their special shows, but this was poorly advertised. Many fans will likely even forget there is an extra hour, and the ratings will suffer as a result.

Even with an extended show six days before Extreme Rules, there is no theme. No draft. No tournament. No big announcement. Nothing!

While there is a lot of reasons to watch tonight, a few talents stand out the most. Who are they? Let's find out!

5. The Miz

1 of 5

For a few weeks now, Mr. Excitement has promised The Miz would be a factor on Monday night again. It always seems to get pushed back another week.

With Team Johnny running WWE now, it is only a matter of time before Miz makes an impact. With a major event coming up in less than a week, it may be tonight!

4. Chris Jericho

2 of 5

Chris Jericho is losing this Sunday night. CM Punk will defeat him in the Chicago Street Fight and retain his WWE Championship.

However, I am very curious as to what Jericho does tonight. With his future up in the air after Sunday, this may be a determining factor with what he does next.

Match or not, this may be the last time we see Jericho on Raw for a while...

3. Lord Tensai

3 of 5

Last week, Lord Tensai picked up the biggest win of his career.

Forget his past work. He defeated John Cena in the main event of Raw about as "clean" as can be. That is a major stepping stone for him.

Moving forward, you have to suspect even more attention tonight for the big man.

John Cena

4 of 5

John Cena is not going to have a fun night at Extreme Rules. I fully expect Brock Lesnar to destroy him this Sunday night in Chicago.

With Raw hosting their contract signing, you know it is likely to get physical. While Cena won't be standing over Lesnar in six days, he may be tonight...

1. Brock Lesnar

5 of 5

Brock Lesnar will be live in the arena. This Sunday, he is set to take on John Cena in a huge, huge match for the company.

After that, who knows?

He is not advertised for any shows past Extreme Rules. Nothing has been announced about his next appearance. With a limited schedule for 2012, tonight may also be his last Raw show for a while.

Thus far, he has looked like a monster every single week. Will he continue tonight?
