Fedor Emelianenko vs. Andrei Arlovski (Emelianenko def. Arlovski KO (strikes) at 3:14 of the first round.)

After the much anticipated title shot for Andrei, Fedor once again showed us why he is the best fighter in the world. After all the criticism, after all the skepticism, Fedor knocked out Arlovski with the huge brick of a hand attached to Fedor’s arm.

Even though Arlovski was apparently winning the fight, Fedor with his cool demeanour once again took his time and waited to land a one-punch knockout, to the “future of boxing.”

All the talk about the boxing, the superior striking, all the talk of the end of Fedor's reign, came to a quick end, again.

Who is next for Fedor now? Will Dana finally bring him to the UFC? Surely Barnett cannot be next in line for this colossal giant.

Josh Barnett vs. Gilbert Yvel (Barnett def. Yvel via Submission (due to strikes) at 2:55 of the third round)

Josh Barnett did what everyone thought he would try to do, take down Gilbert Yvel. He controlled the entire first round attempting two kimuras but coming up short.

At the beginning of the second round, Barnett quickly took down Yvel again, attempting another kimura and then easily mounting.

Josh then attempted an armbar and Yvel rolled him over and had some quick ground and pound until the end of the round (about 15 seconds).

To start the third round Josh again was quickly able to take down Yvel and mounted again, after some ground and pound, Yvel tapped out due to strikes at 2:55 in the third round.

Matt Lindland vs. Vitor Belfort (Belfort def. Lindland via KO (punches) at 0:37 of the first round.)

In the middleweight bout, the massive underdog Vitor Belfort knocked out Matt Lindland 37 seconds into the first round. Vitor took no time showing the world just exactly how quick and powerful he still is, especially at 185 pounds.

He looked great in the quick fight. The end of the fight was a scary moment with when Lindland suffered a huge knockout. He was unable to get up for some time and at one point had a neck brace applied.

Lindland eventually recovered and was able to walk out of the ring. Reports from Affliction said that Lindland was taken to the hospital, where he was coherent and walking under his own power.

Rentato Sobral vs. Thierry Sokoudjou (Sobral def. Sokousdjou via Submission (Anaconda Choke) at 2:37 of the second round.)

Rentato Sobral submitted Thierry Sokoudjou with an anaconda choke 2:37 into the second round. This fight looked like it could go either way until the fight was restarted in the middle of the ring where Sobral took advantage of Sokoudjou’s lesser BJJ skills and quickly finished him.

Kirill Sidelnikov vs. Paul Buentell (Buentell def. Sidelnikov via TKO (Doctor Stopage) at4:18 of the third round.)

Kirill Sidelnikov lost his debut fight in America, loosing via doctor stoppage to Paul Buentell at 4:18 of the third round.

The “Baby Fedor” didn’t show much except a massive chin and great heart to veteran Buentell, who picked Kirill apart with jabs, some rights, and some impressive combinations.

Dan Lauzon vs. Bobby Green (Lauzon def. Green via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 4:55 of the first round.)

Taking the fight in under 30 hours' notice, we saw quite a performance from Bobby Green, who after being penalized three times for kicks below the belt to Dan Lauzon before being stopped due to a rear naked choke 4:55 minutes into the first round.
