Former WWE world heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan recently lost his title at WrestleMania 28.

Bryan spent time crafting his skills in the independent wrestling circuit. He was one of the top draws on the independent circuit and with Ring of Honor. However, that doesn't mean anything in the WWE, as it's all about what you have done since joining the company.

Bryan has had a nice WWE career so far, but will never be the top draw in the company. He will be lucky to ever get back on top of the WWE Universe.

Here are five reasons why he won't.

Bad Gimmick and Title Run

Daniel Bryan's character is extremely bland and boring.

His "Yes!" chants shows just how much the WWE is struggling to come up with anything creative. The WWE fans have embraced the chants in a mocking way and they will get very old, very quickly.

His first title run was just as boring and uneventful as his gimmick.

Weak on Mic and in Promos

The problem with many current WWE superstars, is that they are not the complete package. The roster is limited with superstars who have the look, are good in the ring and have solid mic and promo skills.

Daniel Bryan is arguably the best technical wrestler in the WWE today. However, his skills on the mic fail in comparison.

Size

The WWE—more specifically, Vince McMahon—prefer champions who are much bigger in size than Daniel Bryan.

Wrestlers who are similar in size to Bryan have not, historically, had good runs as world champions in the WWE. There are some exceptions, but the typical WWE champion has been much larger than Bryan.

His WrestleMania and WWE History

Daniel Bryan can put on a great wrestling match—as good as anyone. He has plenty of talent in the ring and had a chance to display that at WrestleMania 27 and 28.

His bout at WrestleMania 27 with Sheamus became the dark match and his match at WrestleMania 28 lasted 18 seconds.

His matches at WrestleMania and how long it took him to get on top shows that the WWE doesn't have much faith in Bryan.

Open Frustration

Lately, we have seen wrestlers hinder their careers through their use of social media and what they say to the press.

According to GQ magazine, Daniel Bryan is displeased with his WrestleMania 28 booking.

When asked if he shared the same anger as the WWE fans on how short his match was, he said:

"Of course I do. I was World Heavyweight Champion for four months. I wanted to go out there and steal the show."

Criticising the WWE in public could cause Bryan to be buried. He could now be kept far away from the championship.
