Following his victory over Triple H at WrestleMania on April 1, WWE Magazine is already asking if The Undertaker will “rise again” like he has the past several years of returning to the company around the time of the Royal Rumble.
Despite what was said in the article in the latest issue of WWE Magazine, the opinion of those behind the scenes at the WWE have a clear idea of what is left in the tank for the Phenom following Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania.
Despite speculation that The Undertaker's match last week may have been his last, many WWE employees now believe he is able to compete in a few more matches and will almost certainly work WrestleMania XXIX. This belief is based on The Undertaker appearing less injured following his WrestleMania outing compared to the prior year's.
As a fan of The Undertaker throughout all of his incarnations through the years, I hope the Dead Man returns for a few more matches at WrestleMania as he’s still a major draw for the company after all these years.
Following WrestleMania 28, there are rumors that The Undertaker will face John Cena at next year’s event to along with The Rock challenging Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship and CM Punk facing off with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
While the latter two matches sound like dream matches for wrestling fans, the WWE should give the Phenom another opponent instead of Cena as there might be riots in East Rutherford if he defeats The Undertaker.
Instead of the CeNation leader, it would be great to see The Undertaker face off in a rematch with his opponent from WrestleMania 21 in 2005 in Randy Orton next year.
With the return of the Phenom to WrestleMania 29 a virtual lock next year, who would you like to see The Undertaker battle as he puts his now 20-match winning streak on the line at MetLife Stadium in 2013?
