If you're an Arkansas beat writer, there's no shortage of storylines to cover these days.

Coaching dismissals, phone records, coaching searches and—oh yeah—that thing called spring practice have made life in Fayetteville brutally hectic.

In today's edition of "As The Razorback Turns," we find out from the Associated Press that Jessica Dorrell has been placed on paid administrative leave by the University.

Dorrell, an employee of the Arkansas athletic department, is the individual with whom former head coach Bobby Petrino had a inappropriate relationship with.

The 25-year-old was hired in late March as a student-athlete development coordinator, just a few days before she was reportedly a passenger in Petrino's motorcycle accident.

Good move, Arkansas...even if it is a few days late.

This had to happen, and I'm surprised that it took this long.

Whether she wants to or not, Dorrell can't remain employed by the University of Arkansas. Her actions, at least in part, have brought a public relations firestorm to the University that will take some time to recover from.

As Adam Kramer over at Your Best 11 recently pointed out, Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long has become a semi-rockstar with the way that he has handled this situation.

This is another example of Long handling things the way they need to be handled, even though sometimes those decisions are tough.
