Former world heavyweight champion Christian is currently out of action after once again being sidelined with an injury just before Wrestlemania 28.

However, according to Daniel Pena of LordsofPain.net, a soon-to-be returning Christian is set to feud with Big Show for the Intercontinental Title in the near future.

Although house show advertising can often be misleading, Captain Charisma is currently scheduled to face the World's Largest Athlete at Smackdown tapings during June for Show's newly won mid-card championship.

This news could indicate many things for the Smackdown roster, including the direction WWE creative may choose to go with former IC champion Cody Rhodes.

Currently, Rhodes and Big Show are embroiled in a feud, but if the news of Christian entering the mid-card title scene on Smackdown is accurate then this could mean a well-deserved promotion for Cody to step up to the main event on the Blue Brand.

Personally, I feel that Christian challenging for the Intercontinental title could bring some much needed credibility to the forgotten strap and he could continue Rhodes' excellent work in bringing relevance back to the belt.

Pena further reports that Sheamus has been advertised to defend the World Heavyweight Championship at live events against Daniel Bryan in Last Man Standing bouts. Could this be an indication of the stipulation for Bryan's rematch at Extreme Rules?

Last Man Standing could be a great development for D-Bry vs. Sheamus, but it will be interesting to see where new contender Alberto Del Rio fits into WWE's plans for the WHC going forward.

So, what do you think? Is Christian vs. Big Show a good idea? Is Bryan vs. Sheamus Last Man Standing the way to resolve their feud?
