WWE News: Latest Report on What Matches Will Be Featured at WrestleMania 29

Unlike the night after WrestleMania 27 last year, which saw the match between the Rock and John Cena set for this year’s WrestleMania, we only saw the return of Brock Lesnar giving John Cena the F5, with no matches set for WrestleMania 29 next year.

With the WWE likely already planning out what will be on the card for next year’s WrestleMania, what are the plans for the top matches for the event in 2013 at MetLife Stadium?

From WrestlingInc.com via F4WOnline.com:

"While nothing has been announced and WWE will likely change plans between now and then, F4Wonline.com reports that the company is working towards Brock Lesnar vs. The Rock for the WWE Title, Steve Austin vs. CM Punk and John Cena vs. The Undertaker for the top matches at WrestleMania 29."

Even though this year’s WrestleMania was an awesome event last weekend, the plans as of now for the card for next year has the chance to the top it with the proposed matches for WrestleMania 29.

First, I think the best of the proposed matches for next year’s event would be CM Punk and Stone Cold Steve Austin, as fans, new and old, would love to see this dream match between the WWE’s biggest rebel superstars.

After claiming that he would once again be WWE Champion, the match between the Rock and Brock Lesnar would have the chance to be the most must-see WWE title match in the history of WrestleMania and arguably the company's history overall.

The Lesnar-Rock match would also have the interesting side note of it being a titanic rematch after Lesnar, as a rookie, defeated Rock for the WWE Championship at SummerSlam in 2002.

Finally, I really hope the WWE does have John Cena take on the Undertaker at WrestleMania, but just like the Hell in a Cell match with Triple H, the company can not let Cena defeat the Phenom and break his undefeated streak.

If the WWE sticks with this plan for WrestleMania 29, the company will expect to have even greater results than the tremendous numbers they got from this year’s event in Miami.

So Bleachers, what do you think of the line up of main event matches involving Lesnar-Rock, Austin-Punk and Cena-Undertaker at WrestleMania 29?
