Notre Dame Football: Aaron Lynch Missing from Practice Wednesday
Notre Dame's standout freshman Aaron Lynch was absent from the Wednesday session of practice in South Bend. Unlike Prince Shembo and Tony Springmann, Lynch's absence was unexpected and not due to injury. The university stated that he was absent due to personal reasons.
With Brian Kelly set to speak to the media shortly, more information on the reasons behind Lynch's absence should be revealed. Personal reasons run the gamut when it comes to players being absent from the ball club.
Lynch has not been the publicity "issue" that a guy like Da'Rick Rogers of Tennessee has been. Rogers, you might remember, was absent from Tennessee practice last week, causing a stir and thoughts of a transfer coming for the wide receiver.

Kerr Not Expected to Return
Also at Tennessee, we saw Janzen Jackson have "personal reasons" for his coming and going with the team a season ago.
We'll have to wait and see what the situation is with Lynch because so much can be housed under the personal reasons for an absence. Lynch's presence most certainly will be missed until he returns, but given the possible nature of the reasons, not too many conclusions can be drawn on when he will return.
Lynch was one of the Irish's many bright spots on defense in 2011. The freshman was a true revelation, reminding folks of what an elite defensive lineman can do when put into a scheme that works for him.
Let's hope all is well for the young man, and we'll keep you updated on his status.
