Brace yourselves for some twin magic in Miami. Based on an interview that Nikki and Brie Bella did recently, we will see the twins on our television sets on Sunday in Miami.
Serena French of the New York Post did an interview with the two twins. Prior to asking any questions, French had this to say:
On Sunday, the Bella Twins make an appearance at WWE’s biggest event of the year, WrestleMania, when The Rock takes on John Cena live in Miami. In the run-up, they took some questions, with Brie jumping in the ring first.
A look at WWE.com shows that they're not scheduled in any matches. I guess we can say thank you for that, as that match would sure be a train wreck used by fans everywhere as a chance to go to the bathroom or refill the food and drinks.
But in a way, that would be preferable. If they are going to appear at the event but won't be in any matches, that means that we're going to get the dreaded backstage segment. Super.
You know the kind that I am talking about: where we get what seems like 77 people appearing on screen within about a three-minute span. These are about as annoying as you could possibly imagine.
Not only are they total wastes of time, but they don't even leave us enough time to step away and get anything important. Maybe you can go to the bathroom, but you can't go to the bathroom and get food. That's my barometer for a "waste of time and space" segment or match. If you can't make it completely worth the while of your fans at home and in the arena, don't do it at all.
In all seriousness, WrestleMania should be used for people who draw genuine reactions from fans. They don't have to be liked by the fans, but we do have to care. The Bellas don't have that, nor does most of the Diva's division. The ones we do care about are all in a match already.
