WWE Rumors: The Latest on John Morrison Making a Return to the WWE in 2012

Chris HumphreyCorrespondent IMarch 23, 2012

After leaving the WWE last November on good terms, John Morrison has spent the past few months on the independent scene where he has a much easier schedule than that of the demanding schedule in the WWE.

With some time away from the WWE to recuperate, will we see JoMo make his way back to the company that made him a star sometime this year?

From Wrestling News Source:

In an interview with Phil Strum of the Poughkeepsie Journal, former WWE Superstar John Morrison was asked possibility of returning to WWE one day. Morrison says he left on great terms and his body simply needed a break from the hectic WWE schedule:

"The door is open to go back. I left on really good terms with everybody and what I wanted to do was take time off to heal, get refreshed and take a little vacation..."

Personally, I would like to see John Morrison make his way back to the WWE after he recharges his batteries since being written off television this past November following an attack by the Miz.

Just like countless other superstars that have come and gone through the WWE over the years, the company could have used Morrison much better, as he had real flashes of being a main event-caliber superstar during his time in the WWE.

Morrison showed that he could be a champion in the WWE after multiple runs as Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion (with the Miz) in addition to a run as the holder of the now-defunct ECW Championship during his near decade-long stint in the company.

If a return is in the cards for Morrison in the future, the WWE should definitely give him a much better push, as the roster in the company is dangerously thin of main event talent to carry Raw and Smackdown each week.

So Bleachers, would you like to see John Morrison make a return to the WWE sometime this year after spending time on the less hectic independent scene?
