Coming as no surprise the WWE has released more WWE employees, but this time they were big names. It seems as if they do not care who it is they release even if they are future or current Hall of Famers.
Of course we will have to see if there are more, but for now there are two men who just recently joined the 2009 Future Endeavors list. The two men are Sgt. Slaughter and Ron Simmons aka Farooq.
Simmons had gone by his real name the past few years and he really had not been wrestling with the WWE in a while. Of course we all remember his catch phrase "Damn" whenever he gets a mic.
He had been doing backstage work, but not to much. So really releasing Simmons did not hurt the WWE in any way. Sgt. Slaughter had been off WWE TV for some time. He had also been doing backstage work.
He really was not doing a good bit, and was only working sort of part-time. So the WWE released him after realizing they didn't need him. The 2009 list will add more, and they do not care who they release either.
I heard Vince even released his limo drivers. What is next the chef? Or the pilot? How about releasing the gardener?
It seems the WWE will do anything to keep money. They have released referees and anyone else they do not think is contributing at a high level.
People who need to look out are the ones who are not on TV frequently or not doing well in the WWE's developmental leagues. Also if you are backstage and you do not have a job that is needed.
Or if you are not doing well at an important job, road agents have been released a lot by the WWE. So make sure you are getting your job done well.
I want Manu gone, but it does not seem that will happen. All we know now is that today the WWE released Ron Simmons and Sgt. Slaughter. Who will be next? We will just have to wait and see.
