Arsenal FC: The Top 10 Robin Van Persie Goals
Robin van Persie has had quite a season this year. The Arsenal captain has already surpassed last season's record tally of 20 league goals, scoring six more with seven games left to be played.
In the wake of his recent success, here are some of his most memorable goals.

Arsenal vs. Barcelona
1 of 10We begin our list with this incredible goal scored against Barcelona.
Arsenal fell 1-0 behind on home turf and they desperately needed somebody to inspire them. As always, Robin van Persie produced a moment of pure magic to get his team back in the game.
Gael Clichy chipped the ball brilliantly to the Dutchman, who took his time before unleashing a powerful shot from the tightest of angles. The Barcelona goalkeeper was completely stunned as he watched the ball go past him and into the net.
Andrey Arshavin completed the comeback only five minutes later, but Barcelona were the better side on aggregate (4-3). The Spanish side went on to win the UEFA Champions league that year.
Arsenal vs. Sunderland
2 of 10Van Persie is not just a great forward, he is also an expert in set pieces.
A free kick was given to Arsenal just a couple of yards away from the edge of the box. Van Persie took the free kick and sent a powerful shot which hit the crossbar before finding its way to the back of the net.
Although the shot was not particularly precise, the sheer speed and power behind it left the Sunderland goalkeeper completely helpless.
Arsenal vs. Liverpool
3 of 10Oh, I still remember this goal like it had been scored yesterday.
A long ball found its way to Van Persie.
The Dutchman calmed the ball with his chest, before turning towards the goal. The ball appeared to be running away from Van Persie, but he managed to get to it before Liverpool's Jamie Carragher.
The Arsenal's No. 10 then unleashed a powerful volley, beating the goalkeeper to the near post.
Arsenal vs. Wolverhampton
4 of 10Another wonder strike from the Dutchman.
Fabregas sent a cross to Robin Van Persie, but it seemed to go just behind the striker. No problems for the Dutchman, who managed to hit a volley while falling down.
The ball hit the post before finding its way to the back of the net, once again leaving the goalkeeper completely helpless.

Arsenal vs. Inter Milan
5 of 10We don't see the Dutchman's fantastic footwork so often, but this was one rare glimpse of his tremendous skill.
You might need to watch the video a couple of times to apprehend what happened there.
After this incredible move, Van Persie was left all alone just yards away from the goal. Guess what happened. He scored.

Arsenal vs. Blackburn Rovers
6 of 10Van Persie took the ball near the centre of the pitch and ran down the right-hand line of the pitch. Then, he beat two defenders before finding his way to the box.
The Dutchman released a powerful shot, which rebounded off the far post and into the back of the net.
The surge of pace, the close control, the balance, the finish—absolutely fantastic.

Arsenal vs. Wigan Athletic
7 of 10Extra time and Arsenal got a free kick some 25 yards away from the goal. Enter Van Persie.
The Dutchman placed the ball on the ground, took a few moments and sent a fantastic shot, which flew over the wall and smashed the top right-hand corner of the net.
The Wigan goalkeeper was left shiftless watching the ball find its way to the back of the net.
Arsenal vs. Aston Villa

The goalkeeper rushed on to the Dutchman who sprinted past him, and managed to keep the ball in play. Van Persie then toyed with the poor goalkeeper until he helplessly fell on the ground.
With the goalkeeper already beaten, Van Persie sent a powerful shot into the empty net.
Once again, superb skill from the Flying Dutchman.
Arsenal vs. Charlton Athletic
9 of 10"What a goal by Robin Van Persie!" shouted the commentator, as he couldn't hide his admiration for this goal.
Eboue sent a cross to the edge of the box to the onrushing Van Persie. The Flying Dutchman leaped forward, hitting a fantastic volley with his left foot.
Needless to say, the goalkeeper had no chance whatsoever.

Arsenal vs. Everton
10 of 10I have to say this one is my favourite.
Arsenal players passed the ball calmly around the centre of the pitch, before a fairly long ball was sent over Everton's defenders to Van Persie.
Right then, you could see what Robin Van Persie was up to, but there were no way of stopping the Dutchman.
He sent a powerful first-touch volley with his left foot to the far post, while Tim Howard haplessly watched the ball smash the back of the net.
