What does this mean? Obviously, nobody knows exactly what’s going on in this dramatic saga, but as most fans and insiders speculate, the extended stay can’t be a bad thing.
Bills lead journalist Chris Brown spoke on WGR550 today and brought up a couple of positive points as well.
According to Brown, Williams’ visit with the Bills has evolved. No longer is it merely a meet-and-greet with team officials and a tour of team facilities with an emphasis on business. Rather, Williams and his fiancé were trying to get a feel for the city as they prepare to begin their new family and this next chapter in their lives.
Brown went on to discuss how this year’s best defensive free agent isn’t necessarily looking for a big-market NFL city. Williams apparently is a small-town kind of guy who is looking for a close-knit family feel in the community he ultimately chooses to play for.
All this rings beautiful sounds to Bills fans’ ears while their eyes continue to blur at computer screens all day long.
The news on Williams will likely be quiet for the rest of the evening as he continues to think about this very important decision.
But if you listen closely enough, you just might be able to hear the thousands—what the heck, millions—of prayers of Bills fans everywhere, desperate to welcome one of the biggest names in the NFL to the great city of Buffalo.
