My Super Bowl Speech

I have realized something as of late, both in football and in my life, and that is every aspect of life is about taking steps. Now, whether they be forward or back, it is always leading you into a direction, a new path that has not yet been traveled.

It’s scary sometimes to think that two or three years from now, everything will be different. Despite what people say or do, almost everything changes at some point and time and when this happens, you have to be ready for it.

The people who are less prepared end up losing the most and ultimately end up clawing to get their way back to where they were but they never do. They always end up taking a new path and whether it be forward or back it is something new and unexpected that they have to deal with.

Sometimes the new path takes you somewhere ahead. Somewhere that is both happy and unexpected but more importantly it is something you embrace, because ultimately as I said before, nothing lasts forever.

You eventually always take that step back. The difference between you quickly taking another step forward or continue traveling back all has to do with the individual. Whether or not they are prepared for the situation or up for a challenge, no path is traveled twice in one lifetime.

Now when an individual chooses a path, they have two options. One path leads forward another step, while the other leads back another step. But there is a trick, because a step back is always given to the individual, while the step forward is always something you have to fight for.

What makes a successful athlete is whether or not they are willing to fight. Whether or not they are willing to do whatever it takes to take that step forward and not let themselves take that step back.

That is the trick to a happy life and that is the trick to a successful career.

Because the individual who loses that fight and isn’t willing to take that step always goes backwards, and the only thing that can stop it is learning what made you take that step and never doing it again.

That is life, that is love, that is football.

The most successful football players are the ones who are willing to fight, learn, and embrace every step they take because no matter who you are, you always take a step back.

It’s the ones who fight, the ones who get back up, dust themselves off, and get back out there and keep moving forward.

Now I got one question for you guys: What steps are you going to take?
