WWE WrestleMania 28: Top 5 Wrestlers Who Won't Get a Match

0 of 5

WWE is loading up a spectacular card for next month's WrestleMania. With a main event of John Cena vs. the Rock, the show is bound to do huge business off that one match alone.

As is the case every year, some names may not make it onto the show. Some are deserving, while others are not. Today, I will give you all a few names that are destined to miss the event.

Side note: Injured performers (like Sin Cara) are not considered. Also, I am not counting the pre-show battle royale. I am referring to an actual story (and match).

5. Evan Bourne

Honestly, there isn't much to say here.

Evan Bourne was likely to miss the event anyways, but his last few months in WWE have confirmed that notion. Even his biggest fans shouldn't expect him to be added to the show last minute.

    I know I wouldn't.

4. Brodus Clay

Brodus Clay is a star. Whether he is a dominant heel or a fun face, he brings it every time.

However, there is nothing going for him right now. Even if he were still on TV every week, I can't think of how to use him at Mania.

Beat somebody in a minute? Dance to the ring? I love his character as much as the next person, but there just isn't a whole lot for him to do now. Sad but true...

After April 1, I expect the "funk" to be back!

3. Goldust

I am a fan of Big Show. I am a fan of Cody Rhodes. I am even enjoying the "moments" being shown each week making fun of past Mania performances from Show.

That being said, Goldust and Cody did have a little feud going just a few weeks ago. It may be picked again, but I can't imagine so.

It all just evaporated one week. Gone!

2. My "It" Girls

WWE always likes doing big tag team matches for the divas, so there is still hope here.

If Beth Phoenix vs. Kharma doesn't happen (for whatever reason), then a lot of women will be getting a spot at Mania this year. It may not be given a lot of time, but the match will be memorable.

Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes and Aksana all deserve some shine in Miami on April 1.

Yes, Kelly Kelly is the top diva in the business today. Yes, Eve is doing some great work and will likely get a spot somewhere on the show. Yes, Beth and Natalya are also being given some attention as of late.

However, my three "it" girls are just waiting for their breakout moments. I would love to see it at WrestleMania, but it is unlikely.

1. Alex Riley

I thought of adding Booker T or Zack Ryder, but I think both will find a match at Mania. It may not be a "top" match, but they may very well make it to the big dance this year.

Alex Riley has little chance of making it to WrestleMania. To me, that is acceptable. He has nothing going on right now and his fans have cooled on him big time since last summer.

Why is he the No. 1 ranking then?

Look no further than the one-minute video I posted!

Pinning the Miz clean? Getting a huge crowd reaction? Teaming with John Cena? Celebrating with Stone Cold and not getting a Stunner?

Yes, this man is going to be a huge star one day. It is just not his time yet.
