All the talk and hype about a possible split national champion ended when the Associated Press released its final rankings.

The Florida Gators (winner of the BCS National Championship Game Thursday night) received 48 first-place votes and 1,606 points overall.

The undefeated Utah Utes finished the season 13-0, but ultimately second in the polls.

Utah fans, players, and coaches had been urging voters to place them in the No. 1 spot, in hopes they would receive the AP Championship.

Voters, however, felt the Gators were the best team, giving the school its third national championship and second in three seasons.

Utah received 16 first place votes, giving a non-BCS school its highest final ranking ever. Southern Cal finished ranked No. 3 and received one first place vote.

Texas, the other team who had a gripe that they were the best team, finished ranked No. 4, ahead of No. 5 Oklahoma.

Here's the entire top 25.
