WWE Real Talk: The Divas Accepting Their Fate Is a Step Backwards for Women

Giulio RomanoJun 2, 2018

When Kharma resurfaced at the Royal Rumble, I think my heart stopped for a second.

Right there it seemed like all the suffering the Divas Division was enduring was about to come to an end. There would have been some follow up the next night on RAW, as the Glamazon would have come face to face with her ultimate challenge.

It was not so. Neither Kharma nor Beth Phoenix have been present since and instead, the WWE Universe has to be content with Eve Torres' failed attempt at a villainous turn and worst of the worst, Natalya Neidhart going through with her "flatulence" gimmick. Are you kidding me?

REAL TALK! When did the women of this company lose their balls and decided to accept this garbage?

The Divas are exceptional talent, smart, sexy and powerful. Foremost among them is the Divas Champion, Beth Phoenix. For the life of me, I cannot fathom why this is happening now in 2012.

This will not be a rehash of women's history, but methinks a few pioneer women are turning in their graves right now. To some, this can be interpreted as women being told what to do and accepting their fate regardless of how they feel or how it can ruin their reputation.

Divas everywhere...wake up! At the risk of getting canned, say something for crying out loud. If this is all part of some angle, then I expect Kharma to be unleashed and destroy everything in sight.

Speaking of Divas...what do the female fans think of all this nonsense? Do you enjoy a former Divas Champion farting on TV or a two-minute match between Kelly Kelly and Brie Bella?

I am very surprised there hasn't been more backlash regarding all this. The WWE Universe has a voice and many ways to express it. As the late Owen Hart would say: "Enough is enough, it's time for a change!"

It is very probable someone up there at management thinks this is all fun and productive. The work of a sick, incompetent mind who doesn't know what being a strong woman is all about. For shame, Stephanie McMahon is letting this continue. Has she no pride?

If I were able to attend any of Linda McMahon's conferences, I would address the state of the Divas division and how shameful they treat their women. Whether she is part of WWE or not, I'd let her know...loud and clear, too.

This new decade is all about going forward and progress. History has shown that Divas can stand toe to toe with the top guys and give the fans quality programming.

How about betting on that, gentlemen? Next time there is a match, don't go to the bathroom and don't change the channel. It might be short anyway, but if the ratings remain stable, then that should send a clear message.

At WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami on April 1, Beth Phoenix should be in a high-profile match of her own. Whether against Kharma, Trish Stratus, Madusa or any other, she better be there. This "Glamazon" deserves it, as do all the Divas. A moment of glory on the grandest stage of them all.

To a strong amazon nation!
