It has been awhile since seven-time WWE Women's Champion and Diva of the Decade Trish Stratus stepped away from her in-ring career. Of course, she has been keeping very busy, what with the upcoming release of the movie Bounty Hunters on DVD, her burgeoning business in Stratusphere Yoga and her recent stint as a trainer on WWE Tough Enough. But that certainly doesn't mean that she still won't consider making a return to competition.
Earlier this week, Stratus sat down with The Score's Arda Ocal to talk about the current state of the Divas division, Bounty Hunters, an upcoming movie project with former WWE arch nemesis Lita, Beth and Natalya and, of course, WrestleMania 28. Part two of the interview is scheduled to be posted on Wednesday, but part one can be watched in its entirety on the Aftermath blog.
Stratus echoes a sentiment that a lot of fans feel about the current Divas division: It lacks the development that she had in her heyday. She does state that a lot of the Divas call her up for tips and advice; perhaps one day she'll add WWE trainer—outside of just Tough Enough—to her resume?
Even though she states that WrestleMania 28 isn't currently on her calendar, to see Trish Stratus in action once again would certainly be welcomed by many members of the WWE Universe, no matter their feelings on the state of the current Divas division. But for now, it looks like we'll just have to wait and see.
