Should the Pistons be worried about Sunday Games?

Chris ThompsonJan 4, 2009

The Pistons are currently 0-6, when they have a game played on Sunday, with 8 more to go. It doesn’t matter if they have played the game at home or on the road (their last two losses have been on the road against the Atlanta Hawks, and the New York Knicks). Is that reminiscent of another Detroit sports team this year?rip-vs-hawks

“Then you start playing some really tough teams that would be hard to beat on any day,” Curry said.

Pistons head coach Michael Curry says that is not a problem today when they will face the Los Angeles Clippers. He is not expecting a let down.

“The losses on Sundays, what happened is some games we should have won, (but) the way we played on Sundays we didn’t take care of it…that’s where it lies regardless of who we’re playing. We’re looking at how we need to come out and play.”

The Pistons have their seventh Sunday game starting today at 3:30pm against the L.A. Clippers and with that begins the Pistons 4 game western conference road trip*. All I can say is please don’t be like the Lions, at least win one this season.

* See Preview of the Pistons Western conference road trip for the list of games.
