New England Soccer Uniforms: Joey Barton Reveals Simple, Classy Three Lions Kit

The England national team is rolling through kits almost as quickly as it has promising midfielders, captains and managers (ain't that right, Fabio Capello?), but it appears as though the FA has finally found a design worth sticking with.
Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton revealed the Three Lions' new uniform through his Twitter account, albeit without so much as a glimpse of the shorts.

It's not the most exciting design, to be sure, and it comes after the previous strip was used in all of eight matches.
Still, there's certainly something to be said for the elegance of its simplicity. The new kit is reflective of a back-to-basics approach—one that many would argue is much needed if the Three Lions are to compete for trophies at Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
What do you think of the new kit?
Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp, the presumed frontrunner to take over the national team, would fit perfectly with the ethos indicated by the new shirts. Unlike Capello, 'Arry is a classic British motivator whose preference for laymen's strategy on the pitch is well-known.
It may not be flashy or dashy, but as the Spurs are showing in the English Premier League season, it can certainly get the job done, just as the Three Lions hope to do while sporting these new kits in Poland and Ukraine this summer.
The full kit will be on display when England takes on Holland in an international friendly at Wembley Stadium next Wednesday.
