New York Yankees: 3 Reasons to Be Stoked for Baseball Season

This year they Yankees will be, as usual, right in the mix of teams fighting for the ultimate goal of reaching and winning the World Series.
With the new additions to the starting rotation and whoever they go out and find to become their DH the Yankees are looking to be one of the most formidable teams in the major leagues this year.
For Yankee fans, this year has the potential to become number 28.
Chance to See New Players

Possibly on the of the biggest reason to look forward to the 2012 season would be the chance to see new players in Yankee uniforms and the players that may be in their last year in a Yankee uniform.
With the addition of starting pitchers Michael Pineda and Hiroki Kuroda, the once questioned starting rotation for the Yankees is now, seemingly in great shape.
This could also be one of the last years for Yankee great, and all-time saves leader, Mariano Rivera.
Great Competition This Year

This year, the American has greatly improved their overall team strength.
The Detroit Tigers adding Prince Fielder and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim adding Albert Pujols are some of the biggest names that have switched to the American League this year.
This should make the playoff race much more interesting and possibly even switch the American League power to the East to the West. This should make for a lot of interesting games that will not be “gimme’s” anymore.
