Following a slightly dull winter transfer window, it is safe to assume that this summer will see some large moves happen on the continent.

There is a relative calm surrounding the Premier League transfer front. Still, there are some thought-provoking murmurings that deserve some notice.

Ryan Giggs will soon play his 900th game with the Red Devils after recently signing a one-year contract extension.  This means Giggs will participate in his 22nd season with the English powerhouse, playing under current manager Alex Ferguson for the entirety of his career in Manchester.

It is safe to assume that Giggs understands Ferguson in a way in which other managers do not.  It is rumored Sir Alex has confided to his close friends that Giggs has the right presence of mind and personality to manage Manchester United in the near future—possibly succeeding him as manager.

Currently Giggs is working towards his coaching qualifications. Former Red Devil Paul Scholes has said of his long-time colleague, "You just want the best man for the job. I could see Ryan Giggs becoming manager."

Do you think the Welshman has what it takes to take over the reigns so expertly held by his Scottish forerunner?

The 21-year-old Zambian International has risen to the limelight with his explosive display in the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Emmanuel Mayuka led an underdog Zambia side to the ACON semi-final against heavyweights Ghana, famously scoring the lone goal of the game to propel his side into the finals.  He played the entire 120 minutes in Zambia's victory against heavy-favorites Ivory Coast.

Currently plying his trade with BSC Young Boys, Mayuka has scored 16 goals in 43 games in Switzerland.

It is reported that Arsenal, Newcastle and Fulham are all keeping him under close watch.  Each of these clubs would welcome strength to their attack.

Is their room in Manchester's midfield to inject this young talent?

Chelsea are reportedly set to launch a £22m bid—£1m for each year of the 22-year-old's life—in order to capture the Yugoslavian striker.

Will Jovetic play along with Torres, Mata and Drogba? Or, will Chelsea clean up shop in the offseason?
