This Saturday, two heavyweight boxers will go head-to-head, but none of it will be memorable unless Dereck Chisora or Vitali Klitschko deliver an amazing show.

Anything less than epic will result in a forgotten fight, which is why boxing needs both of these fighters to be great this weekend.

Heavyweight boxing has lost its allure, which is another reason this fight has to be fantastic. Boxing needs a spark in the heavyweight division, and this fight between Klitschko and Chisora has the potential to do that.

With a 43-2 record, Klitschko is the favorite over Chisora, a 28-year-old fighter with a 15-2 record.

An upset would be fantastic for the sport, but the 40-year-old Klitschko is not going to be easy to beat. Sure, his age is way up there, but he can still throw down with the best of them.

Should Chisora walk away victorious, there will be a great deal to discuss for heavyweight boxing, and that is something the sport desperately needs.

Chisora would then certainly be on the rise, leading to bigger fights. Right now, boxing is all about Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., but the sport really needs others to rise to bigger and brighter fame.

Die-hard boxing fans obviously know more than just those two guys, but the casual fan isn't going to care about this heavyweight fight all that much. However, if the fight is outstanding, it will hook the casual fan in for more boxing.

Since Klitschko has defeated 11 fighters in a row now, with only two of those fights going the full 12 rounds, many believe this will be a cinch for the Ukrainian.

Because of that, Chisora needs to come out strong and give the fans a show. Heavyweight boxing needs to create a bigger buzz, and the only way it will happen is if this fight kicks things off with a bang.
