NBA Rumors: Steve Nash Is Better off Staying with Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns aren’t going anywhere this season, but leaving the team now is not what Steve Nash is all about.
He is loyal and that means he should end his career in Phoenix.
Should Steve Nash Stay in Phoenix?
If Nash shows the team this allegiance, but pleads with management to get him some talented players to make his dream of winning an NBA title come true, he could play two or three more seasons.
With the heavy burden of loftier expectations weighing down on Nash’s old knees, a trade at this point of his career would do nothing but sully his legacy.
He deserves better than that.
Suns’ head coach Alvin Gentry told Sports Illustrated about Nash’s lack of desire to leave:
I know, as of right now, he has not said one thing to me about not wanting to be here or anything like that. I know there are a lot of teams that would like for him to say [that] so they can try to get him, but unfortunately [for them] that's not anything that we've had to deal with or anything that he's even remotely said to me.
Gentry was right that teams would be interested in the services of the veteran, but I think he undersold it a bit. There wouldn’t be a team in the NBA that wouldn’t kick the tires on a player as talented and a man as classy as Nash.
With all of that being said, Nash has no reason to trade the comfort of being the face of a franchise for being just another cog in the system.
While winning a championship may be important, the fact that there is so little time left on the physical clock for Nash may have him looking to stay put just where he is.
With not much left in the tank, having Steve Nash ask for a trade and change his routine at this point would cause nothing but issues.
