AVB Already Saying His Goodbyes to Chelsea FC as He Looks Towards Inter Milan

Jesse PJun 7, 2018

Andre Villas-Boas has recently been linked with a move to Inter if he gets sacked by the Chelsea boss. The Porto FC president, Pinto da Costa, was recently interviewed and said that the Chelsea boss left Porto too soon, and he will more than likely be heading to Inter Milan.

It is never good when your old boss publicly issues his opinion about your future, especially at a time like this when Chelsea is on the verge of mayhem and AVB's position is under some intense pressure. Roman Abramovich has been meeting with AVB, and reports have suggested that the manager canceled the scheduled training break on Monday in order to have a meeting with Roman and the players. I'd imagine that the meeting didn't hold a mild atmosphere and some of the veteran players probably voiced their opinions and concerns (as they should).

The way things are panning out, AVB looks set to leave due to his failure to succeed in and remain in the top four, a split in the dressing room and the recent link with Inter.

Should he leave I'd imagine Guus Hiddink would take over at least until summer, then the news stories will link Jose Mourinho back to Chelsea.

You may be asking yourself, "is this the right decision for the club?"

My answer is, yes and no. For right now, yes. It might take a week or two for Guus to settle in, but he would bring the old Chelsea back and restore the confidence in the players as well as have the backing of the veteran plays (due to their prior experience with Hiddink). That said, the long term goal (if Chelsea are still trying to reform the club) will be terminated because AVB offers the outlet to bring in young players and he can build his own team.

What do you think will happen?

Will AVB last til the summer?

If you were in Roman's position what would you do?
