The Toronto Maple Leafs are trying to get back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since the 2003-04 season. They are in the middle of a number of trade deadline moves that could propel this team from the outskirts of the playoffs to a team that could make some noise in the NHL’s second season.

According to Star.com, Maple Leafs General Manager Brian Burke could be interested in bringing in a player that he drafted while he was the general manager for the Anaheim Ducks. The Toronto Sun took time to speak with Leafs defenseman Luke Schenn to see what the locker room is going through as the trade deadline approaches.

While the trade deadline is looming, the Leafs have a big contract to deal with at the end of the year. From Prohockeytalk.com, they take a look at what center Mikhail Grabovski could demand in the offseason.

Finally, from the Toronto Sun, a Maple Leafs defender took a nasty spill at practice and could be out with a serious injury.
